Am Sa. den 11.10.2008 ab 21 Uhr spielt noch einmal in Gotha” Jamie Clarke”, Gitarrist, Saenger und das Herz von Perfect wurde 1964 in der englischen Provinz geboren und hatte schon immer Grosses vor. Kaum trocken hinter den Ohren, zog es ihn ins “wilde” Camden, Londons Hotspot und das Zentrum der 80er Musikszene. Seine musikalische Karriere begann er als Gitarrist der 80er Poplegende “Innocence Lost”. Seine Karriere als reiner Gitarrist endete mit dem Split der Folkpunk-Heroen “The Pogues” 1996, fuer die er in den 90er zuerst auf der Buehne, dann auch im Studio in die Saiten griff. 1997 gruendete er als Saenger, Songwriter und Gitarrist die Gruppe “Perfect” mit der er seither in wechselnder Besetzung spielt.
Perfect, das sind im Moment neben Jamie, Toby Lee Roth am “magic” Akkordeon, Bjoern Again am Schlagzeug und Pierre Lavendel, der mit einem zusaetzlichen Banjo den unverwechselbaren Sound der Band noch ein wenig mehr “rockabilly” klingen laesst.

Jamie Clarke, guitarist, singer and the soul of perfect was born in 1964 in the middle of nowhere and destined to go places. Moved to Camden, the heart of London and the centre of the music world in 1987. He started his career with 80′s poptastic “Innocence Lost” and ended up touring the world with famous Irish folk punk band “The Pogues”, playing on their “Pogue Mahone” Album. In 1997 he formed “Perfect”, the band he’s been playing with in different line ups ever since.
Perfect are currently playing with Toby Lee Roth on the magical accordion and Bjoern Again on drums. An additional banjo played by Pierre Lavendel puts an completely new, even more rockabilly-like flavour to perfect’s own folkmusic.
Perfect have successfully played more than 200 concerts all over the world. Their famous action-packed live show is a perfect mixture of their own material and some Pogues classics.
A new chapter has been opened for Jamie Clarke’s Perfect. Their new single “Psychic TV” was released on crafty/pias records earlier in october 06. Their new album “You drove me to it” was released in December 2007. (hhs)
